A “CLIC” AWAY FROM CYBERSPACE.
U. S. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Goli Ameri is given a tour of the internet by a student of the Waan National High School in Davao City. The school’s computers and high-speed internet connection were provided through the Computer Literacy and Internet Connection (CLIC) project of USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program, which supports the efforts of the Philippine government to introduce and expand internet and computer education in high schools. The GEM Program is implemented under the oversight of the Mindanao Economic Development Council. Inset photo: Waan students cluster around U.S. Assistant Secretary Ameri during her visit.
