SPIRIT OF PEACE SWIMS FREE IN ZAMBOANGA.   Ambassador Kristie A. Kenney and Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat release a 12-year old male green sea turtle into the waters off Paseo del Mar in the city. Ambassador Kenney named the turtle “Espiritu de Paz de Zamboanga,” or “Spirit of Peace of Zamboanga.” The 50-kilo endangered amphibian was rescued by farmer Ahmad Sarail earlier and turned over to the City Agriculturist’s office for tagging. Ambassador Kenney was in Zamboanga City with Sec. Hermogenes Esperon, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, and USAID Mission Director Jon Lindborg to visit various USAID projects. (GEM)
